Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The AXIS International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (AIJMR) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. The journal strictly follows the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), as well as the ethical requirements of UGC-CARE, Scopus, and other global indexing agencies. To ensure integrity, transparency, and accountability in research publication, AIJMR expects editors, reviewers, and authors to adhere to the following ethical principles:

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
  • All forms of plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices are strictly prohibited.
  • Proper acknowledgment of all sources and citations is mandatory.
  • Authorship should accurately reflect individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research. Guest, honorary, or ghost authorship is not acceptable.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and provide details of funding sources or institutional support.
  • For studies involving human or animal subjects, appropriate ethical approvals and consent must be clearly stated.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for making fair, unbiased, and timely decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts, based solely on academic merit and relevance.
  • Editors must ensure that all submissions undergo double-blind peer review by qualified experts.
  • Confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts must be strictly maintained.
  • Editors must avoid any conflict of interest in handling submissions and should not use unpublished materials for personal research.
  • In cases of suspected misconduct, editors are obligated to follow COPE guidelines to investigate and resolve the issue.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to assist authors in improving their work.
  • All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Reviewers must declare any potential conflict of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.
  • Plagiarism, ethical violations, or data manipulation observed during review should be reported immediately to the editors.

Publication Malpractice Prevention

AIJMR takes active measures to prevent publication malpractice. All manuscripts are screened through plagiarism detection software before review. If plagiarism, fraudulent data, or unethical conduct is identified, the manuscript will be rejected or retracted. Authors involved in malpractice may face a ban on future submissions.

Transparency and Accountability

The journal promotes academic transparency, open access dissemination, and accountability in research. Any corrections, retractions, or clarifications will be published promptly in accordance with best international practices.
